Franchising and Licensing Association (FLA) Singapore started as Singapore’s national franchise body. It was one of the founding members of the World Franchise Council. With members’ common objective of business growth and expansion through franchising and licensing formats, Franchising and Licensing Association Singapore seeks to continually promote the platforms of entrepreneurship and internationalism in the industry.

The Asia-Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC) is an amicable, non-political association of National Franchise Associations around Asia Pacific region. The objectives are to provide a forum with properly constituted National Franchise Associations in the Asia Pacific region where they can share experience, information and technical “know-how” on franchising, including the establishment of better communication channels among members. It is also to encourage further development of properly constituted National Franchise Associations in all countries within the Asia Pacific region in order to strengthen the industry networking regionally and to present regional information in franchising and the common views of National Franchise Associations within the region to international bodies.


The European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, known as EuroCham, was established in 2001 and is composed of the European National Business Groups in Singapore as well direct corporate members. It is an independent, non-profit organisation governed by its members.

The Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) is Singapore’s most established and independent voluntary business association. The Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau™ (SECB) has a mission to champion business travel and business events as key drivers of the tourism sector and enablers for industry growth in Singapore. It aims to establish Singapore as a dynamic business events destination where people, technology and ideas converge to create great value for customers. The Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI) was established in 1956 and is an independent non-profit organisation. They play a proactive role in representing the interests of the local Malay / Muslim business community. In line with their mission to nurture a vibrant entrepreneurial culture amongst local enterprises, SMCCI serves as a platform to create invaluable opportunities for members through regular business missions, conferences, networking sessions and activities to bridge members and the business community to the local and overseas markets.


SPRING Singapore is an agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry responsible for helping Singapore enterprises grow and building trust in Singapore products and services. As the enterprise development agency, SPRING works with partners to help enterprises in financing, capability and management development, technology and innovation, and access to markets. As the national standards and accreditation body, SPRING develops and promotes an internationally-recognised standards and quality assurance infrastructure. The World Franchise Council (WFC) is a non-political Federation of 43 national franchise associations from around the world, together with two supra national bodies – the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation and the European Franchise Federation. Formed in 1994, it aims to promote the growth of franchising internationally, and facilitate best practice in franchise association management among its members. It also aims to foster and encourage the development of franchise associations in nations where such an association does not currently exist.
