Growing up with his grandfather in Dover wet market and highly involved in activities with elders since young, Elroy felt the need to support hawkers during the circuit breaker period with free delivery and minimal technology interference.
Drawing from his various work experiences - Singapore Grand Prix (operations), Real Estate (sales), Ernst & Young (business advisory), Elroy and his co-founder, Zhang Kai, set up HawkerHeroes.sg from ideation to execution less than 15 days.
In 2020, they supported more than 140 Hawker Heroes with free delivery service. In 2021, together with public and corporates, they gave more than 700 meals to Healthcare Heroes in appreciation of their hardwork. In 2022, they represented a group of hawker brands to showcase their dish and stories at a national event - Singapore Food Festival. They are exploring opportunities to bring hawker and F&B brands overseas to showcase their masterpieces.
He is also working on another food project with MasterChef Nicholas Koh, to support youths with special needs (www.HappyHearts.Day). Currently, as the Head of Ventures and Partner at Omni Spectrum Group, Elroy participates in mentorship and early stage investments in various other industries (www.omnispectrum.com.sg)
