Nancy Soon, Master Franchisor of Helen O’Grady Drama Academy in East Asia for 23 years considers herself an educator-at-heart. Developing one child at a time is her Northstar. An innovative cross-cultural teacher, trainer and entrepreneur with 2 other education businesses, Nancy has personally touched the lives of more than 6,000 students and thousands of educators and educational leaders in Asia, America, UK and Australia.
By expanding the “Development through Drama” programme through franchising and licensing, she has given opportunities to many educators and non-educators to go into business for themselves but not by themselves. Together with her team franchisees help children who are not dramatic in the arts or academically inclined with a voice for free expression to build effective 21st century skills. Nancy’s philosophy about the drama program, “Not only is drama a good development program in free expression for every child; it is also a professional development program for both teachers and parents, opening doors to communication in parenting skills.”
She believes that that “every child is a star”, help them find theirs.
