Yue Jian Shan Shawarma has been in the business since 1992. The initial brand was known as "Middle East Shawarma ", which didn't have much distinctiveness compared to other shawarma stalls.
In 2018, the company decided to rebrand itself and change the name to “Yue Jian Shan Shawarma”. The brand was registered as a trademark and established in Taiwan. At the same time, Yue Jian Shan has started accepting franchise applications. As of May 2023, there are 43 franchised stores in Taiwan.
