One half of the sibling duo that introduced Poke Theory to Singapore's F&B industry, 28 year old Joey dove head first into entrepreneurship when just 22, alongside his sister Vannessa, 24, and learned the possibilities of a franchise-centric business model. With a concept that required minimal capex to expand its reaches, and a desire to make healthy eating as much an option instead of a luxury for everyone, over 10 new franchise units have gone live in under 4 years as the brand continues to navigate through the pandemic in Singapore without any VC funding. Raring to fly over to Bali and continue with their franchise expansion in Indonesia (this would be their second in Indonesia), overseas expansion is definitely next up once life goes back to normal, with overseas franchising tossing up new situations to deal with.
