Russell Harrison

Group Managing Director, Spartans Boxing Club

A lifelong martial artist Russell started his journey in combat sports at 8 years of age. His parents chose Australian Combat Karate to instill the foundations of discipline and respect into him. At 13, he obtained his second-degree black belt and was a junior instructor.

Unsatisfied, he moved onward to boxing in his late teens and then found his way to professional boxing later in his life.

Outside of sports, Russell has grown and nurtured large and boutique recruitment businesses across the entire Asia Pacific as a professional. He was the Director of a specialist procurement recruitment consulting and training group with locations across Asia Pacific and ran the region for a large MNC recruitment business.

In late 2019 Russell left his corporate “day job” to take on a full-time role as Group Managing Director of Spartans Boxing Club and currently oversees the expansion of the club locally as well as internationally through its franchise business model and myriad offering of courses and programmes.

The potent combination of his sharp business acumen and athletic expertise in boxing expedites Spartan’s success.
